Windy City Kicker Golf Classic
Windy City Kicker Golf Classic

As an avid golf fan, Arnold Palmer is an athlete I have always admired. Throughout his golf profession, I was inspired by his endless passion for competitive greatness and his willingness to inspire others in the community. Palmer once said, “Your hometown is not where you're from, it’s who you are." Those powerful words resonated with me as I immediately thought of my personal experience back home. Remembering my roots and giving back as much as I can to the Clinton County area is of utmost importance. I will be forever motivated to providing the youth in my hometown more opportunities to chase their greatness (dreams).

The support from my friends and family in my hometown of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania is an appreciation that is hard to show on paper; since my high school athletic career began (Yikes! 1998 to be exact), they have always been a huge support system for me. To this day, they have been some my greatest fans during my NFL career. Each time my family and I go home to visit, it is always such a special experience catching up with good friends and family and reminiscing about the good ‘ole days.

Annually, I host the Windy City Kicker Golf Classic at Belles Springs Golf Course. Just when I think it can’t get any better, each year the community astonishes me by showing even more support, more unity, and more charitable acts of service. In addition to that, however, the event comes with a great deal of fun too! Friends, family, and community supporters take part in a round of golf, on-course golf competitions, putting contests, a marshmallow long drive, a dinner paired with an auction, and of course, chances to win fun and unique gifts. Proceeds benefit the development of the youth in the Clinton County community.

Since 2011, my local non-profit, The Goulden Touch, has raised over $300,000 for non-profits in the community. Just a handful of these include The CM Youth Football Team, Ross Library, Lock Haven University, Mat Town USA, Horses for Hope, and the Salvation Army.

Taking place on Friday, June 29th, 2018, this year’s event will be held at Belles Springs Golf Course. To participate in the upcoming event, please email
